Full Scale RX-78 Gundam in Odaiba Japan

Just in time for the 30th Anniversary of the Gundam Franchise, they have erected a full scale RX-78 Gundam. This little franchise ignited generations of mecha fans and produced a lot of successful series. The merchandising alone for this franchise could fill warehouses. I remember building the models when Gundam Wing came out.
I wish I could get tickets to view this exceptional creation by the Green Tokyo Gundam Project. This was built in Odaiba, Japan at a height of 59 feet. Though it has been completed, it is set to open on June 11 and run through August 31st.

I was amazed by the details especially in the decals and lettering. I cannot image what it was like to work on this project.I am sure that there are several of us that really really wish we could of been on this.

Here are some great links & credits to view on this project. Please note that some of these sites are in Japanese.
