Manga at Borders

I had to make sure we stopped at Borders this weekend. I had 40% off coupons and wanted to pick up some Manga for the flight back. I had read Otaku USA and Shonen Jump on the flights up. My son pretty much ripped Shonen Jump out of my hands just so he could get the Yu-Gi-Oh! card in the back of it.

I was shocked to see one of the Manhwa (Korean Manga) that I had been looking for in other stores - Shawan Warrior #8 by Park Joong-Ki. I could not find this anywhere and was about to order it off Amazon. It is an interesting read as to me it seems to mix American Indian and Japanese cultures together.

I also picked up 20th Century Boys #5 and Dance of the Vampire Bund #5. If I have time, I may try to get Fairy Tail #8.

Is there any Manga that you are having a hard time finding?

  1. It took me a little while to get every volume of a few Out Of Print series, although I have them now. Lets see...Pet Shop of Horrors and Kodomo no Omocha pop into my head first. I also happened to get Maison Ikkoku recently although I wasn't actively chasing the series an opportunity showed itself where I could get the whole OOP set for a good price.

  3. Those mangas you picked up are awesome. I already finished them. No one is too old for anime/manga.

I'm currently looking for Trigun Maximum. From first up to the latest.

  4. That's a beautiful cover...

I once had an issue finding #8 of Death Note, cause it sold out, I know people who can't find #4 or #5 of Blade of the Immortal, and Future Diary isn't stocked at my local store :-/
