Anime at our Local Library!

I had some fair luck getting Anime from our local library in Florida. In hopes of getting something new, we stopped over at the Hagerstown Library in search of books and Anime. Since I am still without a job, we need to be able to see some Anime without the cost involved.

I am happy to say that for a small rural library, I hit the jackpot. They had way more new stuff than in Florida and several racks of Manga to boot. Of course it is in the "Teen Loft", so hopefully I didn't get too many odd looks.

I am intending to borrow Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (Part 1), D. Gray-man. Season One (Part 1) and Outlaw Star for right now. But they do have the other parts of Code Geass as well as Naruto, Xxxholic, Death Note, InuYasha and Bleach to name a few.

There Manga selection was pretty good as well, so I may be hitting that as well. Only issue is finding the first copies!

Does your local library have Anime to view as well?

  1. Library at your area is so cool! Over here in Singapore, library is mainly books but we do have lotz of DVD rental stores that carry anime. Faster you watch, the lesser you pay. Hee! Hee!

  4. Never been to the library local to this area, but I bet it does. A "Super Used Bookstore" opened near me and I bought a bunch of Inuyasha manga for $1.25 a piece. Was a good deal. They also had a surprising amount of new anime DVDs at $4.00 a disc.

  5. Holy crap, this is very cool. Yeah, for the most part, it seems as though most libraries have caught on to the manga thing. In fact, when I was in 6th grade, I caught on to Ranma 1/2 from it. I swear, it was so funnnn. Ever so fun.
