Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal Gaming Cards

My son enjoys the Yu Gi Oh! series and collecting the Gaming Cards. He has only seen a couple shows from the Zexal series as it was in Japan only (26 episodes).

I picked up a Special Edition Box set of the new Generation Force cards. Since we were on the way to a family birthday party, I got them for him. These are the new Xyz and number monsters. I was happy that out of the 2 Rare Variant Cards, he got Elemental HERO Absolute Zero and not the ball of dust with eyes.

There were also 3 card packs for this new series (4th Generation of TCG Cards). While my son was playing his DSi, I decided to take a look at the packs. 1st pack was uneventful with some nice monsters, but the 2nd pack turned out to be the winner.

He got one of the Number Cards (17) and it was the Leviathan Dragon. My son is an avid Dragon card collector and this one was really over the top. It turned out to be a 3D Hologram card. I haven't seen one of these in a long while.

I tried my best to show this in the shots below, but lighting was not my strong suit. One shot shows you what the card looks like normally. The other shot shows you the 3D Dragon when hit at the right angle with light.

Needless to say, I would not let him hold this card for long. For the sake of longevity, I am getting a hard shell case for this. It is too cool to leave out on its own, but boy was my son excited to see that card.
