Cosplayer Interview: PrSerenity

Welcome to another Cosplayer Interview. This week we are going to the Olde Country for our next cosplayer ~ PrSerenity!

No matter where we live, we will have cosplayers. It is great to see some wonderful ones like Anastasia. It just goes to show you that cosplay is a universal language. no matter the spoken tongue or country.

She actually cosplayed one of my favorite character - Motoko Kusanagi. If that was all she did, it would be cool, but her Rider cosplay is another one that is stunning. I like her regular version of her showing her intellectual side.  As you will see, she cosplay characters that have strength and don't take any back talk.

I guess we should let her do the talking and let us know how she does it and why. Without further a-do, lets get on to the interview!

What is your name, where do you reside and what is your age?

My name is Anastasia. As a princess of the Romanov dynasty of the Disney cartoon))

But among cosplayers are all used to nickname Printsess_Serenity.

I'm from Ukraine, Dnepropetrovsk. And the age - most recently in mid-February, was 24 years old.

What first started you on the road to cosplay?

My first job was Noelle Bor from Trinity Blood. Decided to sew the pictures Toress. Costumes there quite complex. And the first problem for me was to make of what crosses and other symbols. I had read a lot of forums. In the end - I drained all of the epoxy resin to make the form drawings. My dad helped me to process them after. After the first festival, I decided that I want to continue to do work in cosplay and improve.

How do you choose which characters you will Cosplay?

Well, usually I watch anime, and if I liked the characters, I want to make it cosplay.

My characters - strong-willed girls who like guns, sex, love purple hair, tight dresses, short dresses.

On some of the work I am inspired by other cosplayers. For example, one of the last works - Motoko Kusanagi was made by my friend Tara.

I saw him at the last festival Bato. And later found out that he wants to improve it. I looked again, the Ghost in the Shell, and then decided to do Motoko. We also found a guy at Togusa. As a result, I believe that our cosplay turned out good.

What has been your favorite cosplays so far that you have done?

I find it difficult to answer this question honestly. I love all the characters are equally strong and I cannot say that any of them is better than another. In real life, I would like to be like them all little by little

How was it being on the other side of the camera taking pictures of cosplayers versus being the cosplayer?

Hmm, I like it. Because I understand what should be the character, I can help you select a location for a photo shoot, pose for cosplayers and tell what facial expressions to convey to the viewer.

And even more - getting ready for their photo shoot, I find the arts, show them to the photographer beforehand and explain what I want to do. Of course not always successful. In our city, a problem to find a photographer who understands anime. Only very recently there are people with whom I want to work and take pictures of my cosplay.

Can you let us know of any future cosplays that you will be doing and where the characters are from?

No problem In the future I would like to do Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Storm of the X-Men, Evelyn of Assassin's Creed 3 and reshape their Re-L Mayer from Ergo Proxy. Maybe make some oridzhinalov on Ryder of Fate: Stay Night.

When not cosplaying, what do you do?

Well, I'm the bride, and this fall, I have a wedding. I think soon venture to become a mother, which will continue to cosplay with the child when he is old enough)))

For any aspiring cosplayers a little shy, what words of wisdom do you have for them to get started?

Never be afraid to do their favorite characters.

Put a lot of effort to create a cosplay that will please the people and cause them to admire. Do not get discouraged because of the errors, and improves itself

Where can we catch more of your Cosplay at?

Soon, I'll get a page on Facebook, see photos there: deviantART | Cosplay.com
