Now you can either have the chime at the upper right of your blog (as you see on mine) of you
can have it in a box that sits with your other widgets. Like the one you see here on the right. The main difference I can see is that the boxed widget has the ability to turn the chime off. The large one at the top does not (but can be closed by pressing the black "X".My main question to all of you is:
Which would you rather prefer?
Other questions:
- Does the Chime annoy you or is it just a nice distraction while reading?
- Would you rather have the ability to turn off the chime sound instead?
works for me ^^ I don't see anything wrong with it. I've seen it on a couple of blogs before and it never bothered me.

ReplyDeleteHm. I am usually against moving items on blogs, as they keep distracting the eye, but this one seems relatively ok.
I prefer the non-boxed version for your blog. Boxed would work with a lighter blog-theme, and if your side-bar was all boxed in its appearance. The only downside to the current scheme is how far from the center of attention it is right now.
Very interesting widget, it looks very calming. I will definitely put this on my blog!!!!!

ReplyDeletei forgot where i got this but upon my first discovery of it i find the little sound made by the chime to be very soothing, +it gave me some sort of a calm, serene feeling while i read / browse through my posts for grammar checking :3
the hanging version suits minima blogs such ours better; i've tried the framed version and it didn't look good on mine.

ReplyDeleteI approve, I like it. It reminded me that I would like one of these types of chimes to hang on the deck of my home. I much prefer both styles of the Japanese chimes (the one pictured here and the bamboo one) to the ones available at Lowe's/Home Depot.
