No sense crying over lost games and a chance at the Super Bowl - FUCK!
Now that is out of the way, I wanted to do a review of the lovely figure my wife got me this past holiday season. We have a Fox Sports Team Cleatus Robot which features the Baltimore Ravens. These are a sanctioned product by the NFL and she thought it was cool as it mixed my fav football team and mecha.
My wife really surprised me with this as all I kept thinking was it was a Barbie by the box shape. Normally I would agree this was a nice idea, but after opening it up, not so much.
I have no idea why they use so much plastic in making these. Thing was overly top heavy and what made it worse was the damn thing could not stand straight up. I could not get the damn legs to work and one seemed to be about a 1/2 inch shorter than the other one - WTF!
This is seriously in need of a custom job (see bottom of page) as it is just molded purple plastic with some gold sprayed on and stickers. The only really nicely done part is the damn football. It does have some articulation in the shoulders (blocked by the damn shoulder pads), elbows, wrists, hip, knees, ankles and toes. No finger movement and the football seems to be glued to the other hand. To really get the ball back to look like a throw, I had to take the shoulder pads off as you will see below.
Overall, this is not all that great of a figure as I can't get it to stand unless it is leaning. Even a little more coloring would of been nice.
This is what I would of liked to have seen. This is a custom job done of the Miami Dolphins version of the figure. Nice coloring all around as it actually looks like a football player robot.
Now this is sweet and maybe if I have time, something I can do to my figure.
I'm know nuts about American football but the custom bot of Miami Dolphins looks cool. To bad you rate yours grade D.
