Comic Con 2011: Web-Report for, “2old4anime”~ Day 4, Part 2

“FAMILY DAY”

Being the final day of the Con, I have clearance on “Bad Jokes”. All BAD jokes must GO! Got to do one out front, after my BEER ,of lunch. And the crowd loved it. All ways have the audience be part of the act, and it’s a winner every time. A “Martial Arts Kung Fu” school was out in front of the Con. 3 person team. One handing out flyer of the school, one with camera, and a fellow dressed in a Panda costume. He also wore the School’s “T’ shirt. Family and their children gather all around for a photo shoot. The Lady running it saw me. “YOUR PERFECT!” (not perfect, but many of my parts are excellent) “May we have a picture of you for our school web-site?” Dropped my cane and bag on the spot. “My Honor, and My Joke!”, I said taking my place beside “The Dragon Warrior”. We bowed to each other and gave a “Cosplay Performance” for everyone”.

I then lead the crowd in song. “COME ON EVERY ONE. SING WITH ME!”, I began, pulling out my fan, using it as a “Conductor” would do….

“OH HOH-HOH-HOAH.” “OH HOH-HOH-HOAH.”

(And making a “Explosive BANG!”, of my fan each time on the word: “HA!“.)

“EVERYBODY WAS KUNG FU FIGHTING…….. HA!
THOSE KICKS WERE FAST AS LIGHTING……HA!
IN FACT, IT WAS A LITTLE BIT FRIGHTING… HA!
BUT THEY FOUGHT WITH EXPERT TIMING… HA!”


We played off each other with simple martial art moves, (LOVE my fan) me singing the song, and all singing along. It was the “Cosplay Performance and Photo Shoot”, for the FAMILYS! YET AGAIN I SAY: “That is what I live for at the Comic Con!” I was out and about a week later. I was driving and saw that same Martial Arts School. Had to stop in and say: “REMEMBER ME!” Had my picture on the wall of the Comic Con Day!

It would be hard for me to say which day of the Con was the best. Each one had a “Moment” that stood out from the rest. And that is why I atten all four days. The time for “Planing Next Year’s Con”, is NOW! I was inspired by the Cosplayer of this years Con. I am of the “Old School” of Anime. Before Capiain Kirk ever got command of the Enterprise, there was Captain Okita, commanded the “SPACE BATTLESHIP YAMATO”! (stand aside TREKER) AND… Long before Captain Jack Sparrow commanded of the “Black Pearl”, there was the space pirate Captain Harlock commander of the “Arcdia”. Well….. As with my character and costume I Cosplay, I can’t “JUST” Cosplay a Harlock. NO…….
