What drew me in was how she so easily captured the character in her face. As you look over the shots, take a look at the emotion (or sometime lack of) in the faces of her cosplay. Even the one you see her here as Baby Doll from the movie Sucker Punch. It really draws you in and you can feel the pain that she is feeling.
Why see me talk about her, when we have an interview you can read in her own words. Without further ado, on with the interview. . .
What is your name, where do you reside and what is your age?
My name is Julia, I live in Russia, in Moscow. I am 22 years: 3
What first started you on the road to cosplay?
Naruto :) Since my childhood I watched the anime, but does not think about it. But once my friends started watching Naruto, and so imbued with that wanted to invent a story and speak! I was the only girl, so I dealt with costumes. And so it began my arduous cosplay path.
I see that you are a Gamer as well. Does this also play a role in your Cosplay character designs?
Yes, I love computer games :) That's why in my mind there are a lot of plans and the characters, I hope that I can adequately bring them to life :3
Which do you prefer cosplaying Gaming Characters, Anime Characters or does it not even matter?
For me, it does not matter, anime or game, the main role plays my interest to the character.
What conventions or shows have you cosplayed at in Russia? Is there a large turnout for cosplayers in your country?
There are many different cosplay festivals in Russia! They take place every month in different cities of our country. We have acted on many of them :3
I read that you design your Cosplay as well. Which one was the most difficult to create and how long did you work on it?
Our cosplay team consists of 3 people: it's me, my friend Daria (MrProton) and our wonderful makeup of Ame.
All my costumes and many costumes of MrProton I did myself. I enjoy sewing. My most complicated costume, which is still not half completed yet - is Sarah Kerrigan from Starcraft! But with the support of my dad and friends I hope to adequately realize it.
When not cosplaying, what do you do?
I do not have much free time, work and study take up a lot of power, so if I'm not busy making costumes, I try to be with my family and friends! By th way I love to read and cook and play warcraft 3 on map "dota" :3
For any aspiring cosplayers a little shy, what words of wisdom do you have for them to get started?
If you really want something, and with the help of internet you can do a lot! Always turn your dreams into reality, no matter how unrealistic they may seem!
As Oscar Wilde said: "If something is worth doing, only what is considered to be impossible."

I like what Julia said: "Does not matter, anime or game, the main role plays my interest to the character." Not only did she dressed well, she's is also able to project the emotional expression of the character. She really looks good as 'Baby Doll'.
ReplyDelete@Dennis aka Katsuden ~ you are so right on the mark with what you said. I love her as 'Baby Doll'
