DC RUSHTON’S COSPLAY BOOK REVIEW: “1000 INCREDIBLE COSPLAY AND COSTUME IDEAS”.

WITH A SPECIAL DEDICATION TO “LADY HOLLY”!

My dear Reader! It is here in my hands. This is the book that my Cosplay Costume and Character was “PUBLISHED”. This book raised me from a Meer “Amateur Once a Year Cosplayer” to a “PROFESSIONAL COSPLAY PHOTO MODEL”. One would think that I should be doing my “Priest of Tao Strut” with a Moon Walk, “BRAGGING” all about it. No! For I must tell you that if it but for one single person, I would not be in said book, by the Queen of Cosplay Lady Yaya Han. It is because of this single person that Lady Yaya Han’s Professional eyes noticed me by chance on the Cosplay Floor, San Diego Comic Con 2011, and 2012. AND, Cosplay Queen Linda Le Vampy, at Anime Conji Con 2013!

Who is this Single Person I owe so much to? It is My Friend, and Seamstress: “Holly Finch”. Following the Professional example of these two Queens of Cosplay, Holly and I had my next Cosplay Costume all most ready for Anime Conji Con 2013, Captain Okita from “Space Battleship Yamato”. Just a week before Anime Conji Con, Lady Holly called me. (I must pause) She said to me that her Doctor told her that she has Cancer. She was so sorry that she wouldn’t be able to finish it. After being in the hospital/nursing home, she is soon to be at home. But I fear she will never be doing what she loves to do so much. MAKE COSTUMES. I ask you all out there to send your LOVE to this “Wonderful Seamstress, Lady Holly” who made me what I am today. (forgive me, but again I crying my eyes out)

The two introductions by the authors: Allison DeBlasio and Joey Marsocci, a.k.a. Dr. Grymm, and Lady Yaya Han reveals their personal insight on Cosplay and many historic facts of the subject. I was truly inspired by their introductions, and so will you. They have divided the Cosplay Categories into these divisions. They are, “ANIME + MANGA”, “VIDEO GAMES”, TELEVISION, “MOVIES + BOOKS”, “COMIC BOOKS’, “CUSTOMS/ORIGINAL CHARACTERS”, (my section!), “PROPS”, and a “CONTRIBUTOR DIRECTORY”. This is MORE than a NICE coffee table book. NAY! I SAY. One may have opened this book a MILLION TIMES, and DISCOVERED something NEW!

I have been YET AGAIN been so inspired by this book, so much so… I have laid out “MY PERSONAL COSPLAY CAREER PLAN FOR LIFE!” I am coming into a LARGE SUM of money left by my long past mother. Part of this shall be devoted to my LAST CAREER IN LIFE! “PROFESSIONAL COSPLAY” For you see my Brothers and Sisters-In-Cosplay, my MOTO is: “LIFE IS COSPLAY, AND COSPLAY IS LIFE!” Little known to but a very few… I am a BIKER! I was titled by my BROTHERS: “DRAGON MAN”. On the Club’s Shop’s floor, laid out are the parts, metal, and engine for the build of my motorcycle.

This will not be a mere, Harley. NAY! THIS WILL BE MY COSPLAY DRAGON TRIKE FOR “THE DRAGON LORD RUSHTON”. And not just “Painted” to look like a Dragon. SHE WILL HAVE FULL ARTICULATING WINGS! YES, YOU HEARD ME RIGHT! SHE WILL SPREAD HER WINGS OUT AND RAISE THEM IN GRAND PRESENTATION, AND RAISE HER HEAD! THIS WILL BE CENTER PIECE FOR COSPLAY/COMIC CONS! Did you know, Queen Yaya Han and I are “DRAGON LOVERS!” I WILL CONTACT HER AND PLAN A “COSPLAY GIG”, TOGETHER. BRING ON U-TUBE VIDEO CAMERAS! AT A FUTURE SAN DIEGO COMIC CON, I WILL KNELL BEFORE THE QUEEN AS MY DRAGON TRIKE SPREADS IT’S WINGS AND RAISES IT’S HEAD.
