. . . that the biggest quake and tsunami hit Japan. On March 11, 2011 at 14:46 local time, the Earthquake and Tsunami raked havok on the Northern Eastern coast of Japan.
This is one of the times that a celebration is a sobering reminder than a joyous occasion. The Memorial Ceremony was held at Tokyo's National Theater. It was even attended by Japan's Emperor Akihito, Empress Michiko and Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda.
The Telegraph has put up 30 images from the quake last year. This really showcases the fiery of Mother Nature and the devastating effects it can have on our society.
Lets not forget them and continue to show our support.
I still remember the horrible event as it unfolded and live footage came in via twitter and blew up all over the place. I spent the entire night awake watching various news channels and livestreams. One can only hope that such largescale destruction and death could be prevented should something like this happen again.
ReplyDeleteI don;t think I can ever get some of these images out of my mind. I have been through a couple large Hurricanes, but nothing matches this.
DeleteYes, heart wreaking and the Japanese still recovering from the aftermath will suicide cases on the rise. I come from a place with no natural disaster and it's sad to see some citizens unappreciative but having low tolerance and always complaining. People need to feel fortunate and care for others.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the whole, it will never happen to me crap needs to go as it may just one day.
